Shanda Games to set up operating base in Europe

Shanda Games Ltd. (NASDAQ: GAME) plans to set up an operating base in Europe, reported by the news department of Sohu.com Inc. (NASDAQ: SOHU) quoting from Tan Qunzhao, CEO of the company, on Wednesday.

On July 24, the company announced that Eyedentity, a subsidiary of Shanda, has signed a contract with a German-based operator eFusion. According to the news release, eFusion will be in charge of promoting Dragon Nest in Europe.

Founded in 2007, eFusion operated several Korean games in European languages version successfully such as Navy Fiel, Blitz 1941, and Blackshot.

Shanda established an overseas operating center in Singapore last year and launched Dragon Nest, which later became one of the most popular game products in Southeast Asia.

Shanda Games is the main game branch of Shanda Interactive, which exited the Nasdaq market on February 15.
