Powerful return of Best Buy to China from both online and offline channels

U.S. consumer electronics retail-giant Best Buy announced recently to open its online flagship store rocketfish.tmall.com officially for business.
With the earlier opened offline BestBuy mobile stores, Best Buy returns powerfully to Chinese market from both online and offline channels after one year and a half.
On Feb 22, 2011, Best Buy closed its last branded store in Shanghai and declared to quit Chinese market officially. However, in the following one year, Best Buy has encountered continuous turmoil: founder's resignation, frequent replacements of executives and the decline of performance.
However, by the end of June this year, Best Buy suddenly announced to introduce Best Buy Mobile brand into Chinese market and to open its first 14 BestBuy Mobile stores in "Five-Star Electrical Equipment" stores
"Domestic public opinions to the return of Best Buy are generally negative as Best Buy was believed still has not solved the problem of unaccustomed to Chinese market yet", said Tian Yuan, Brand Director of New7.com.
"However, this return of Best Buy is obviously well prepared. It just aims at figuring out new ways to take Chinese electronics market again under the cover of chaos of domestic home appliance channels at the moment", added Tian.
