Greek privatization and investment forum: 50 billion euro of opportunities

50 billion Euros for 50 institutions

The Privatization Program of 50 billion Greek assets Promotion Talk

Invest in Greece Forum

In order to raise more funds to meet the debt payment needs, the Greek government launched the second round of the 50 billion Euro privatization program on October 16, 2012, which is the world’s largest privatization program of state-owned assets after World War II. Considering Greece’s fiscal status and trends of economic development, the next three years would be the best time to invest.

21st Century Media and the Greek Consulate General in Shanghai will co-organize the Privatization Program of 50 billion Greek assets Promotion Talk on Nov. 30 and Dec.1 in Shanghai. This forum, authorized by the Greek government, would be the only one exclusive investment promotion talk in China.

Investment projects, including two categories, namely the privatization of public assets project and the private projects looking for co-investors, concentrate in the following branches: renewable energy, food and beverage, export manufacturing, information and communication technology, mining, waste disposal, tourism, property, infrastructure, shares of state-owned companies and land development.

The Deputy Foreign Minister responsible for European and Economic issues, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a rank comparable to Vice-Minister, responsible for economic issues and top management from the Privatization Fund and Invest in Greece Agency, CEO of the Invest in Greece Agency, the highest-level Greek official delegation in the next three years visiting China, will speak at the forum and explain the details of certain projects.

In principle, only 50 Chinese enterprises with international competitiveness would have the privilege to be invited to the close-door investment forum.

The services provided by the forum include:

Investment opportunities road show;

  VIP meeting with the officials;

  Pre-investment consulting.

After the forum, 21st Century Media will organize a VIP investment trip to Greece for those enterprises with a clear investment intention. The delegation will receive VIP services from the Greek authorities, including direct match-makings, on-site visits and official reception. 21st Century Media will design the services according to the needs of the enterprises.
