China outcry about Japan’s buying disputed islands
Japan's government said Monday it has decided to purchase several disputed islands, prompting China to angrily warn of "serious consequences" if it proceeds with the plan.

Alibaba targets logistics investment
Alibaba Group, China’s largest e-commerce company, is now in talks with a few Chinese logistics firms — including a warehouse operator and a parcel-delivery company — to invest a total of $100 million in them by the end of this year, Alibaba Group Chief Strategy Officer Zeng Ming said in an interview on the sidelines of the annual Alifest customer convention held this weekend in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou.
