Chinese mobile weather app Moji Weather announced that the company's user base has reached 100 million, tech startup news site 36Kr.com reported.

Among them, 60 percent use Android devices and 30 percent are iOS devices. The remaining 10 percent use devices based on Symbian and other operating systems. The company's active user base has reached 20 million, according to Marbridge Consulting.

Moji Weather, the free weather services app, allows users to check the current weather and extended forecasts for locations around the world.

The company generates most of its revenue through in-app advertisements and plans to roll out more personal lifestyle service apps in the future, said Li Fujie, marketing director of Moji Weather.
